Supplies: 30 cm of fine cotton fabric in each colour: orange, turquoise blue, shocking pink, lime yellow, apple green, an extra 1 m in one of the colours, 10 cm of fine iron-on fabric, 80 cm of ribbon in two matching colours, hypoallergenic filling.

Fiskars® Tools: Cutting mat (8371), Rotary cutter (9794, 9793 or 1349), Acrylic ruler 60 x 15 cm (8732), ShapeCutter™ (4806) and cutting mat (8610), ShapeTemplate™ - Baby (4865).

Step 1:
Since the finished squares measure 12 x 12 cm, calculate the number required for the size of the bed. Iron the cotton fabric carefully. Place the pieces of fabric one by one on the cutting mat and with the acrylic ruler, cut 14 cm wide strips, then cut again into 14 x 14 cm squares. Arrange the squares next to one another, distributing the colours to ensure no two identical squares are touching. Then assemble the squares in strips, using a 1 cm seam, them assemble the strips.

Step 2:
Iron adhesive fabric onto a small amount of the cotton fabric offcuts in each colour. Cut out little Bears using the ShapeCutter™ and the Baby ShapeTemplate™. Tie 15 cm of ribbon around their necks to form a scarf. Iron the bow flat. Arrange the little bears on some of the squares of the patchwork surface, all facing different directions. Spray adhesive onto the back and fix with a hot iron.

Step 3:
Line the patchwork with a large panel of cotton fabric, leaving an opening. Put the filling inside, distributing it carefully to ensure the quilt is fluffy but flexible.
