Fairy Lights

Fairy Lights

Supplies: undecorated string of fairy lights, paper in all colours, adhesive.

Fiskars® Tools: ShapeCutter™ (4806), ShapeTemplates™ Flowers (4867), Fun Shapes (4886), Stars (4856), Hearts (4855), Art knife (6711 or 1352).

Step 1:
1st type of flower: cut out 9 Leaf shapes in one colour using the Flowers ShapeTemplate™. Lay them in a circle and stick by superimposing the right edge of one onto the left of the next to form a slightly conica lpetal shell, making a small hole in the centre to insert a light bulb.

Step 2:
2nd type of flower: cut out 5 x 3.25cm heart shapes using the Hearts ShapeTemplate™. Punch each heart from the lower point to the middle, reversing the top part of the heart to give a petal shape. Arrange the 5 petals with the tips toward the centre and stick them edge-to-edge, in a slightly conical position.

Step 3:
For the heart, cut out a 3.00 star in another colour using the Stars ShapeTemplate™, or a Daisy or Daffodil flower (Flowers ShapeTemplate™) or a Flower using the Fun Shapes ShapeTemplate™. Make folds on the star from one tip to the opposite spot between tips. From the centre, reverse the direction of the folds towards the tip and towards the spot between tips. Also make folds on the flowers but from one petal tip to another.

Step 4:
Using the precision cutter, make a cross cut in the middle of each heart and place it into a petal shell. Insert a fairy light into a petal shell then into a heart as if it were a pistil.
